product comparison

Common questions parents ask when comparing skiKrumb to phones, AirTags, or other trackers and why skiKrumb was built for skiing families.

AirTags need to be near an iPhone with service and only work within about 30 feet — not very useful on a mountain.

Radios are often bulky, limited to instructors, and not practical for families. skiKrumb is lightweight and designed for parents too.

Phones lose battery quickly in the cold, coverage can be spotty on the mountain, and many kids don’t carry them while skiing.

Most trackers depend on cell service or WiFi. skiKrumb uses its own radio signal and resort antennas, so it works where others cut out.

Tiles uses Bluetooth, which only works at short range. That means they can’t track your child if they ski ahead or end up in the trees.

Ski days don’t always go as planned — kids ski faster, take a wrong turn, or get separated in lift lines. skiKrumb helps in those moments. Don’t take our word for it – watch our testimonials.
