Tessa describes the mountains as “the most amazing playground,” but she’s also the first to admit they can be a dangerous one.” I have lots of trauma in the mountains, actually,” she shares.

When her oldest is off with friends or her younger boys head in different directions, whether skiing with her or during group lessons, that trauma can easily turn into anxiety. “It’s just me.
